Product Description
The Cape Cod® Starter Set is the ideal entry set for customers who want to polish and buff suitable polished metal surfaces at home. It combines Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths with the Cape Cod Buffing & Dusting Cloth, giving you the two key steps needed for shine restoration and final finishing.
Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths are pre-moistened polishing cloths designed to help restore shine and reduce the appearance of tarnish, oxidation, swirl marks and fine surface marks on suitable polished metals. They are popular for polished watches, jewellery, silver, gold, brass, copper, chrome and other fine metal valuables.
After polishing, use the Cape Cod Buffing & Dusting Cloth to remove remaining polish residue and reveal the final shine. Buffing is an important finishing step because it helps clean away excess residue left after polishing.
This starter set is suitable for customers who are new to Cape Cod products, want a simple polish-and-buff routine, or need an easy care set for polished watches, jewellery and fine metal accessories.
Always check the surface finish before polishing. Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths are intended for suitable polished or mirror-finish metal surfaces only. For brushed, satin, matte or textured finishes, use Cape Cod Clean Link Spray instead.

Product FAQs
What is included in the Cape Cod Starter Set?
The set includes Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloths and the Cape Cod Buffing & Dusting Cloth.
Is the Buffing Cloth the same as the Polishing Cloth?
No. The Metal Polishing Cloths are treated cloths used for polishing suitable polished metals. The Buffing & Dusting Cloth is used after polishing to remove residue and reveal the final shine.
Can I use this set on watches?
Yes, on suitable polished metal watch surfaces. Avoid brushed, satin, matte, coated or plated areas unless tested and suitable.
Can this set remove scratches?
The polishing cloths may help reduce the appearance of fine surface marks and light swirls on suitable polished metals. Deep scratches usually require professional refinishing.
Can I use this on brushed stainless steel?
Do not use the polishing cloths on brushed, satin, matte or sandblasted finishes, as they may alter the finish. Use Cape Cod Clean Link Spray for cleaning those finishes instead.
Do I need to buff after polishing?
Yes. Buffing is recommended after polishing because it helps remove polish residue and reveal a cleaner final shine.
